“I work as a researcher at Columbia University, in New York. I write poetry every day. I get my exercise as a clown at the weekend, and with my friends from Resurgent Forms - a music and poetry group in NYC.
As you can imagine, to feel comfortable and feel myself in each of these worlds, I need to be in good company.
I try to contribute my grain of fluidity, of gesture, of movement, pause, breath, surprise, to these people who come and go from my life.
As you can tell, I want a lot from life, I want intensity, I want shelter, I want to be loose, I want to flow, I want to feel a caress, I want to feel free and accompanied at the same time.
My Kimôhs are part of the special occasions, that occur from day to day. At first it I only wore them for events, paying close attention to the reactions of other people, without really knowing what I was doing, or if I had dared too far. I used to dress in a very geometric way :)
Little by little, the Kimôh suits entered all the worlds of my life. Now I feel just as happy wearing them for conventional work presentations, as I do in clown sessions.
They are very flexible! They are very elegant! People with a sensitivity to aesthetics appreciate them very much, they stop and give nice comments!
How does it feel to wear Kimôh? I feel free, I feel comfortable, I feel ready to move in any direction and with any rhythm. I feel elegant.
